Life in midlife can feel overwhelming. You may be managing hot flushes, sleepless nights, mood swings, or anxiety linked to menopause. Perhaps you’re adjusting to a late ADHD diagnosis, coping with changes in your relationships, or feeling low in confidence about your body, your career, or your sense of self. Individual counselling gives you time and space to pause, reflect, and find new ways forward.
Menopause-aware counselling
As a certified menopause wellness practitioner, I bring an extra layer of understanding to my work with women over 40. Menopause is more than physical symptoms — it affects mood, memory, relationships, confidence, and sense of identity. In our sessions we can look at:
- Managing emotional changes such as anxiety, irritability, or low mood
- Coping with hot flushes, sleep problems, or fatigue
- Rebuilding self-esteem and body confidence
- Exploring career or relationship changes that often surface during midlife
- Finding balance while caring for children, partners, or aging parents
Alongside counselling, I can also share holistic wellbeing strategies, nutritional insights, and practical tools for weight management, stress reduction, and self-care.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a gentle and deeply relaxing approach that can be integrated into counselling sessions. It can help calm the mind, reduce anxiety, and support restful sleep. It’s also effective in areas such as weight management, pain management, breaking unhelpful habits, and building confidence.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
Sometimes we hold on to emotions like resentment, anger, grief, or trauma long after the events have passed. EFT — also known as “tapping” — is a simple yet powerful tool that helps release these stuck emotions. By gently tapping on acupressure points while focusing on an issue, you can often feel lighter, calmer, and more able to move forward. EFT can support with:
- Past trauma or abuse
- Anxiety and overwhelm
- Anger and resentment
- Stress linked to menopause, relationships, or ADHD
- Grief and loss
My approach
Individual counselling with me is always tailored to you. We’ll explore your challenges together, at your pace, and use the approaches that best support your goals. Sometimes that means talking things through; sometimes it means using EFT or hypnotherapy to help release old patterns and bring calm. My role is to walk alongside you — supporting you to feel more grounded, confident, and clear about what you want for yourself.
