Single Session Therapy

Sometimes, one single session therapy conversation is enough.

If you’re anything like most of the people I work with, you’ve got a lot on. A demanding job, a full diary, and not much time left over for yourself. Finding space to deal with something that’s been playing on your mind can feel like just another thing to squeeze in.

That’s part of why single session therapy works so well. You don’t need to carve out time over weeks or months for therapy. It’s just one session for either one or two hours. One good, focused conversation can get to the heart of what’s going on and help you find a way forward.

How it works.

We meet once, online, during a weekday and you can join from wherever suits you such as your office, your home, your car or wherever you have a bit of privacy. Because sessions are during the day, there’s no need to give up an evening or a weekend when you’re already running on empty.

If I have availability, I can often fit you in at fairly short notice too, sometimes the same day. This helps when something feels pressing and you’d rather not sit with it for weeks before talking to someone.

What happens in the session.

We use the time well. Together, we explore what’s been troubling you. This could be a decision, a situation, a feeling that won’t go away and we look at it from new angles. I help you get some clarity around it so you can think more clearly about what you want to do next.

Single sessions are not rushed, and they’re not superficial. Research shows that people often leave a single focused session feeling noticeably clearer and more able to move forward. You might be surprised by how much ground you can cover when you give yourself proper space to think, with the right support.

Just one session.

There’s no assumption that you’ll need to come back. Many people find that one conversation gives them exactly what they need. If it turns out you’d like more support down the line, that’s always an option but there’s no expectation and no pressure.

Why people find this helpful.

You’re more than capable of working things out but sometimes you may just need a bit of space and a different perspective to get unstuck. Single session therapy respects your time and your ability to take what you learn and put it to good use.

My job is to help you see things more clearly so that you can move forward with confidence.

If you’d like to talk, I’d be happy to hear from you.
