Online counselling offers many benefits, including the convenience of attending sessions without commuting or searching and paying for parking. It allows you to receive professional support from the comfort and privacy of your own space, reducing stress and saving time. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into your schedule, promoting consistency, comfort, and accessibility in your mental health journey.

In-person therapy offers the advantage of meeting your therapist face-to-face, which can make communication feel more natural and personal. It provides a set time and place for sessions, helping create structure and focus. The therapy room can also serve as a calm, private space away from daily distractions, giving you the chance to step out of your routine and dedicate time to your well-being.

Walk and Talk Therapy combines the benefits of counselling with the calming influence of nature. It can be especially helpful for those who prefer not to meet online, offering a relaxed, open space to reflect, talk, and find clarity while supporting emotional and physical wellbeing.
I offer Walk and Talk Therapy in Warrington, Cheshire.

YVONNE SMITH
I’m a qualified psychotherapist and couples counsellor incorporating hypnotherapy, coaching, EFT Tapping and Reiki into sessions where appropriate.
Based in Warrington in the Northwest, I work online and in-person with individuals and couples helping them to ask for the change they truly want in life and the confidence to make it happen.
I offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples counselling. I have a special interest in working with addiction, grief, and ADHD. I also work with those seeking financial psychotherapy, and therapy for Adult TCKs, expats and repats.
I work with couples in two ways. Firstly, I offer weekly/fortnightly sessions which last 50 minutes. Alternatively, I offer couples intensive counselling which incorporates fives hours per day over one or two days with appropriate breaks. These can be during the week or at the weekend.
I offer single session therapy which can be useful for when you want to talk through a specific issue and gain clarity quickly. I usually have appointments on the same day which can be booked from the Single Session Therapy page.
The first step to working with me is to reach out, either via telephone or book a free no-obligation enquiry call. During the enquiry call I’ll ask you to give me a brief idea of what you’d like help with. I’ll guide you through what I can provide so you feel informed and empowered. During the enquiry call, if you’re ready, we can set a date to start your therapeutic journey together. Please note that enquiry calls for couples work are held over video on Zoom.
Fees for standard individual sessions are £70.00. For couples this is £90.00. Sessions are 50 minutes long. Payment is required when a booking is made. Payment can be made by debit or credit card.
I also offer single session therapy which is available as a 50 minute session or a 1 hour and 50 minute session. These are priced at £70.00 and £150.00 respectively.
Couples intensive counselling is available over one or two days. One day is priced at £605 whilst two days are priced at £1145.
I appreciate that plans can change and you may need to cancel or reschedule. For sessions cancelled between 48 and 24 hours’ notice, a 50% refund is made. For less than 24 hours, no refund is made. For sessions not cancelled and not attended, no refund is made.

If you’ve been searching for a faster, more focused way to work on your relationship, you may have come across the term “couples intensive therapy.” In the UK, it’s still a relatively new format, but for many couples, it’s proving to be a genuinely effective alternative to traditional weekly counselling. Words get twisted, tempers rise, and connection fades. But hope is not lost. With the right support and practical tools, couples can learn to communicate with respect, patience, and…

Substance misuse damages trust and reshapes how people connect with those they love. When drugs or alcohol begin to control a person’s life, the ripple effects extend far beyond the individual. Partners, children, parents, friends, and even co-workers can all feel the weight of its impact. What may start as occasional use can grow into…
